SeAH Wind showcased its XXXL Monopile factory during a visit from the UK’s Ambassador to South Korea, Colin Crooks, to the North East of England.

During his visit, Ambassador Crooks was accompanied by SeAH Wind’s CEO, Chris Sohn, and COO, Peter Ivey, alongside Alec Brown, Leader of Redcar and Cleveland Council, and Brian Archer, Managing Director of Redcar and Cleveland Council.

The Ambassador's visit was part of Foreign Secretary David Lammy’s new roadshow initiative to drive economic growth across the UK by building connections between UK regions and key international markets. Ambassador Crooks is one of over fifteen top British diplomats dispatched on a cross-country tour to strengthen relationships with mayors and regional businesses nationwide.

Chris Sohn, CEO at SeAH Wind, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ambassador Chris Crooks to SeAH Wind. We are extremely grateful for the support provided by the Foreign Secretary, the UK Embassy in South Korea, and all the ambassadors for the work they have done to support SeAH Wind’s investment in the UK.

Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, said: “I am sending my Ambassador to work directly with local businesses to build connections so they can harness their expertise and effectively champion the interests of the North East and Tees Valley most effectively.

“This nationwide roadshow is one of the ways I am ensuring the economic interests of British businesses sit at the heart of our foreign policy as we deliver on our Plan for Change.”
