SeAH Wind and Hartlepool College Forge Partnership to Empower Teesside's Youth in the Wind Energy Sector
SeAH Wind and Hartlepool College of Further Education have joined forces announcing their commitment to providing the young individuals in the Teesside region with valuable opportunities for career advancement. The collaboration aims to provide high level hands-on training and education, to develop the next generation of key talent and skills urgently required for a rapidly growing sector.
SeAH Wind announced the first 14 apprenticeships as part of their recruitment strategy which covers various roles including eight welders, four platers, a mechanical fitter, and an electrician. Enrolled students will first embark on a 12-week scholarship program designed to equip participants with foundational knowledge and skills required for their respective roles. On successful completion, the apprentices will formally be offered full-time apprenticeships.
Matthew Hart, SeAH Wind's Human Resources Manager, expressed his delight in this collaboration, stating, "Here at SeAH Wind, we see the development of local young people as a crucial element of our recruitment strategy. We are delighted to be working in partnership with Hartlepool College of Further Education to create opportunities for local people to gain a skilled career within our organization."
This initiative aims not only to nurture future talent in the local and surrounding areas for the fabrication and steel industry but encourages diversification opening the doors for all young applicants to apply and receive equal consideration.
